West Marshall Families:

It is with great pleasure to kick-off our 2026-2027 school year! Time sure flies and for some you are experiencing a new beginning letting go to your first entering Kindergarten and to others, “finally”, your last senior before being an empty-nester. It goes without saying many life changes begin and soon to conclude in less than a year. All WMCSD staff are excited and ready to embrace this upcoming year, to teach and inspire children to learn without limitations.

Facility Impact Ahead:

Earlier this summer, the board of education approved to hold a special election in order to renew our current PPEL levy for an additional 10 years. The West Marshall Community School District has relied on a regular Board-approved $.33 levy for common purchases, including buses, to sustain our General Funds. This has been in place since PPEL originated in the late 1980’s. The voter-approved PPEL for $1.00 per/$1,000 assessed property value was passed and has been in place since 2017.

West Marshall is only seeking to renew the $1.00 in order to AVOID an increase in our current tax rate and remain tax neutral while many districts approve the $1.34 maximum allowed amount.

Construction News and Updates:

Throughout the entire summer, our architects, engineers and admin team have been working diligently alongside our two major projects designers. The NEW Elementary addition bid is nearing 75% completion as well as our NEW Career and Technical Education (CTE) building. These both are expected to go out for bid in January! Once renderings are completed, we will showcase our designs in person and for you to view on our website with frequent updates showing the progress of the construction.

Here’s to a busy-busy and more importantly exciting time to walk the halls as a Trojan and to allow families and children to witness the future growth and facility updates you have supported and enabled to come true!

Thank you for trusting us to be a part of your child’s TODAY, Tomorrow and Forever.

WE ARE WEST MARSHALL!
