New Activities Director Press Release

West Marshall Community School District is pleased to

IDNUMBER Allix Williamson                     announce Miss Allix Williamson as the NEW

Activities Director beginning July 1st, 2023.

This comes following the retirement of Mr. Dave Shipley.
Allix is currently one of three English Language Arts Teachers and the Yearbook coordinator at West Marshall High School. Her extensive background serving, managing and coordinating as an NCAA Division 1 Sports Program Director at Campbell University and selling out Madison Square Garden with her oversight of “Beat the Streets NYC” set her apart from all candidates. Allix graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High, received her undergraduate degree from Wartburg College, and earned her Masters Degree from the University of Missouri.
“West Marshall is honored to onboard Allix in this role, knowing her already proven background in collegiate sports. Her current knowledge and past experiences make her the perfect fit for West Marshall beyond what many can imagine. Her dedication to students and proven abilities to foster programs for students is some of the best witnessed. Allix is the type of individual who only knows what status-quo is, only to achieve well beyond; setting the bar high for students, parents and herself.  The West Marshall community and parents should be pleased to know Miss Williamson will work tirelessly so our children will have rewarding experiences,” shared Jacy Large.
For all students and families, Miss Williamson will not only be leading the charge for West Marshall Athletics, but specifically for ALL of West Marshall’s Activities (Fine Arts, Visual Arts, FFA, etc.). This allows one leader to establish a culture of checks and balances when it comes to scheduling, recognition, and fostering opportunities and participation, when nearly 65% of all West Marshall Middle/High students perform or compete in Sports, Fine Arts and Co-Curricular programs.
Miss Williamson agreed upon a salary of $70,000 as a one year contract for the 2023-24 school year and will also continue as a classroom English Language Arts teacher for up to 3 classes annually to assist with the required course offerings.
